On November 16th, 2018, after acquiring Akay Optik, which is one of the leading Rx laboratories in Turkey, the Project “Opakay” came into life, and became the local manufacturer pruducing the widest range of ophthalmic lenses in Turkey.

Opak Lens established its second Rx production facility in Antalya as part of the Opakay project on October 10, 2019. However due to the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, the activity of this facility was temporarily suspended as tourism in the region was stagnating.
